Is Burning Tree Area # 4 Inc a Sub-association of Burning Tree Master Association?

What you will see in the following taken from the Burning Tree Area #4 Association, Inc. Articles of Incorporation is that:

  1. Everyone who lives in the Burning Tree South Addition is a member of Burning Tree Area #4 Association, Inc.
  2. The purpose of Burning Tree Area #4 Association, Inc is to own, acquire, build, operate and maintain recreation facilities and structures of any or all kinds for the use and benefit of members of the association and their families and guests. Burning Tree Area #4 Association, Inc can assess lot owners for construction, maintenance, and operation of recreational facilities; to pay all expenses in connection therewith and all office and other expenses incident to the conduct of the business of the association, including all licenses, taxes or governmental charges levied or imposed against the property of the association;

ARTICLE IV
PURPOSES AND POWERS OF  BURNING TREE AREA #4 ASSOCIATION, INC

This association is formed for purposes not involving pecuniary gain or profit to its members and shall have no capital stock. The specific purposes for which this corporation is formed are to provide for the development, maintenance, and improvements so as to enhance and protect the value, desirability and attractiveness of certain real property within the tract of property described as follows:

All of Blocks One (1), Two (2), Three (3), Four (4), Five (5), and Six (6) of Burning Tree South Addition, an Addition to the City of Tulsa, Tulsa County, State of Oklahoma, according to the recorded plat thereof.

and to promote the health, safety, and welfare of the residents within the above described property or any additions to that property as may hereafter be brought within the jurisdiction of this association by annexation as provided in these articles, and for these purposes to:

(a) own, acquire, build, operate and maintain recreation facilities and structures of any or all kinds for the use and benefit of members of the association and their families and guests

(b) fix, levy, collect, and enforce payment by any lawful means, all charges or assessments made for construction, maintenance, and operation of recreational facilities; to pay all expenses in connection therewith and all office and other expenses incident to the conduct of the business of the association, including all licenses, taxes or governmental charges levied or imposed against the property of the association;

Article V
MEMBERSHIP IN BURNING TREE AREA #4 ASSOCIATION, INC

Every owner of lots described on Article IV shall be a member of this corporation.*Ownership of any lot described in Article IV shall entitle the owner of that lot the right of use and enjoyment of all facilities of that corporation.

*THIS IS FROM THE BURNING TREE AREA #4 ASSOCIATION, INC ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION. No where in this document does it EVER  mentions Burning Tree Master Association. The two corporations are not connected, just exactly as the Oklahoma Secretary of State’s office has advised. Burning Tree Area #4, 
Inc (Burning Tree South addition) is not subservient to Burning Tree Master Association!

Attorney/Burning Tree South homeowner/President of the BTMA Frank Spiegelberg advised in May 1981, that it is not the homeowners who are the members.
